Avipro® Thymovac is a live attenuated vaccine containing a low-attenuation virus strain, designed to establish immunity in breeder and replacement pullet flocks. It helps stimulate high levels of maternal antibodies, supporting protection of chicks against Chicken Anemia Virus (CAV).
The duration of immunity is at least 43 weeks. Protection in chicks may last up to 51 weeks following vaccination of breeder flocks, with chicks receiving maternal antibody-mediated protection from the first day of life.
Live attenuated vaccine, freeze-dried.
Oral administration via drinking water.
Each vaccine dose contains:
Live Chicken Anemia Virus (CAV), Cux-1 strain: ≥ 10⁴·⁵ TCID₅₀.
Production system: Specific Pathogen-Free (SPF) chicken embryos.
Avipro® Thymovac is used to:
Protect breeder and replacement pullet flocks against horizontal infection caused by CAV shed into the environment.
Prevent vertical transmission of CAV through eggs.
Establish immunity in breeder flocks, helping transfer maternal antibodies to chicks.
Chickens – breeder hens and replacement pullets.
1 dose per bird, equivalent to at least 10⁴·⁵ TCID₅₀ per bird.
Vaccinate chickens from 8 weeks of age onward.
Do not vaccinate later than 6 weeks before the onset of egg production, allowing sufficient time for immunity to develop before laying begins.
Do not use in laying hens.
